Thun vibes and fine views 🌄

Flippen enjoyed the brekkie, served early-and let me tell you, that spread was lekker! Room had a fine view of the river and mountains, could chill there for days. Staff were very friendly. And the WiFi was sharp-sharp for my work!

Only downside was the small bathroom space, felt a bit cramped with my stuff.

I stayed for 1 night in a Boutique Double Room, and it was fantastic! Watching the Water Show right from my room while being situated near the beautiful river Aare made everything even better. The location is just perfect for exploring Thun's center!

The bathroom design was a bit odd without a sink in the toilet.

Contemporary but not quality. It was trying too hard to be unique and ended up like it had been fitted out by ikea which doesn't work in a hotel setting - everything seemed done on a tiny budget and ended up seeming cheap and rickety. We couldn't wait to leave.

Thank you for a very special stay. The hotel is clean and well priced, offers great location on the terrace alongside a beautiful river. The rooms are airy and neat, the bed is exceptionally comfortable. The restaurant serves delicious Italian food. Exceptional service, the breakfast is extensive and excellent. What is more, free Wi-Fi throughout the property was a nice bonus.

Hotel Aare offers fine views of the river and mountains. The small bathroom space felt cramped with my things.

Very good situation on the river in the city center

Small rooms with the nearly transparent (!) bathroom occupying 1/3 of the room, small beds (called "Queensize"?!), no minibar, no place for the luggage and clothes, parody of the closet, no place to hang towels in the bathroom. Uncomfortable underground parking having no access to the hotel. "Fourstar hotel with twostar equipment and services."

The location is wonderful in between the old city and beneath the river, the design of the rooms is nice and modern.

My room was at the water front near the old bridge and the noise of the river is dominant, to sleep with an open window isn't possible for noise- sensitive people

The location is perfect, just a short walk from the charming old town and the scenic river. My room had a good view of the flowing Aare River.

Room could get quite warm.

Excellent central location. Nice rooms, modern design, elegant.

The bathroom being almost see-through. It looks fantastic but its not very practical. I'm sure this is fine for married couples, but for the non-married, or if you are friends sharing a room there is a privacy barrier that is missing.

ONLY the Location

(many things) 1.Hotel staff ..my God... they were very bad with us (no smile, one of them she (her name is Christie ) ignore us, you feel the serve you with hating) . 2.The Twin bedroom very small even we pay more than 300 U.S dollar. This hotel is a prison in an excellent location

Striking, central riverside location - noise of rushing water far better than that from the Saturday night crowds which were a safe distance away.

The single room had too much furniture and was a bit bleak with the basic 60s-retro design. More self-service at Sunday breakfast, including drinks, than I would have expected in a four-star hotel.

Cozy stay with a fab brekkie

We had a nice family trip there. Loved the cozy vibe of the room and the awesome breakfast spread, plenty of choices! The view was really picturesque, and the transportation card was super handy. Just a heads up, it got super warm at night with no AC, but opening the balcony door helped a lot.

Location is excellent by the river in the centre of Thun. Bed was comfortable. The modern rocking chair was surprisingly comfortable. We turned up early expecting just to drop our luggage but we were given our room at 10.30am.

Room was small. Did not care for the "modern" ensuite- felt like we were on big brother with the frosted glass walls and sliding glass door.
